It was a busy last couple of days at the 2020/21 Big Bash league where we’ve had a couple of consecutive double headers and we’re finally back to usual routine as we have a single game today in Match 29 at Adelaide Oval. We have Melbourne Renegades in action today and it has been the most pathetic display from them in BBL 10 so far, with 1 win in 7 games, having firmly positioned themselves at the bottom of the BBL 10 points table.
They’re playing Adelaide Strikers today and this team is clear favourites though they haven’t had the best of seasons as yet either. They’ve got 3 wins in their 7 games so far in BBL 2020/21 as we reached the halfway stage of this tournament. Keep reading for our complete PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234“) fantasy preview of the REN vs STR game…

Numbers
- Head to head in last 5 games, Strikers leads 4-1.
- 14, 87, 67 – Shaun Marsh’s last 3 scores in BBL 10.
Melbourne Renegades
After a couple of failures, Shaun Marsh managed to get consecutive fifties and being the senior statesman in the side, he’ll have to continue standing up when the team needs him to the most, so we’re picking him in our REN vs STR fantasy team today. Another left-hander in the side who hasn’t been able to bring his best game yet but has 1 fifty and is one of the most travelled T20 players is Rilee Rossouw and he makes our team too.
Legendary Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi hasn’t been able to make a mark in BBL 10 yet with only 71 runs and 3 wickets in 5 games but he’s just one big performance away from being back to himself and he’s a good option to be your fantasy captain or vice-captain. The safest bowling pick will have to be Kane Richardson who has 9 scalps in 7 games but I wouldn’t mind experimenting and picking Imad Wasim too.
Adelaide Strikers
With scores of 31 and 82 in his last couple of games, Alex Carey has quickly elevated himself to the team’s top scorer this season and he seems to be more comfortable out at the crease now, so he’s my wicket-keeper pick for the day. If you want another attacking option with the bat up top, consider Jake Weatherald as well who hasn’t got a big score after an initial fifty but scored an assertive 34* in the last game.

With the ball, they have the T20 player of the decade in Rashid Khan and there’s argument about him being picked in your PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234“) REN vs STR fantasy team, currently with 11 wickets in 7 games. Another bowler who has managed the same number of wickets but rather quietly is Wes Agar and he’s another bowling option for your fantasy team today!
