IPL 2020 Fast Bowlers Reviews

Top fast bowlers at IPL 2020!

1) Pat Cummins

We’re listing him because he was the highest bid player at the IPL 2020 auction, topping the list with a contract of INR 15.5 Crore, playing for Kolkata Knight Riders this time around. Though he suffered from plenty of injuries earlier in his career, he’s one of the top cricket bowlers in the world right now, and his contract almost broke the record for the biggest ever contract in IPL history, just behind Yuvraj Singh’s 16-Crore bid. He picked 15 wickets in 12 games for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2017! Rating – 8.5/10.

2) Chris Morris

Here’s another pacer who cant be considered as one of the top bowlers in the world, especially in the T20 format. His never-say-die attitude earned him a lot of praise in the IPL, playing for the Delhi Capitals as well. He had 13 wickets in 9 games in IPL 2019 and also has a couple of quickfire fifties with the bat in paste editions of the IPL. This year, he plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore after a whopping purchase of INR 10 Crore, and he’s likely to help them break their no-trophy jinx. Rating – 9/10.

3) Sheldon Cottrell

Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab both wanted this Caribbean pacer who has been doing brilliantly in the international circuit in the last couple of years, known bot for his wicket-taking as well as his military salute celebration each time he bags a wicket. The left-arm pacer can notch up good speeds and he’s definitely one to watch out for as he was purchased by KXIP for a contract of INR 8.5 Crore. The only drawback could be that he hasn’t played too much cricket in the sub-continent. Rating – 7.5/10.

4) Nathan Coulter-Nile

At one point of time, Nathan Coulter-Nile was considered as one of the best upcoming pacers in Australia, and one who could bat as well. However, he only managed 26 IPL games since his debut in IPL 2013, also missing the last couple of seasons due to injury. He bagged an INR 8 Crore contract for IPL 2020 with Mumbai Indians, but playing in a team with plenty of overseas stars, we don’t see him doing too well this time. His IPL best with the bat of 9 came way back in his IPL debut. Rating – 5.5/10.

5) Jasprit Bumrah

He’s one of the best Indian cricket players right now, is Jasprit Bumrah. Since IPL 2016, he’s not had a single season with less than 15 wickets and after a quiet time in New Zealand where he bagged no wickets in 3 ODIs, he’ll be raring to get back to his prime best. He has a total of 82 career IPL wickets in 77 games and he’s going to be among the top bowlers in the season as well. PS. That’s a tip for fantasy cricket IPL players. Rating – 9/10.
