Quaid-e-Azam 2020 - BAL vs KHP Fantasy Preview

6 regional teams will come together to play the much awaited 2020 Quaid-e-Azam Cup which is nothing but the primary First Class tournament in Pakistan. Last year, it was Central Punjab who won the trophy and this year, the tournament is scheduled to take place between 25 October 2020 – 3 Jan 2021, with a total of 30 FC games plus the final scheduled, with all matches to be played in Karachi.

We have three games in Round 1 wherein all the teams will be in action. In Match 1, we have Balochistan in action and they’ve not had much success against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who is their opposition for this opening fixture. Much like him, we have Imran Farhat who scored 819 runs in 10 games last season with 3 tons and 3 fifties; he’ll bring in all his experience to this tournament once again.

The side is being led by Yasir Shah who is Pakistan’s leading wicket-taking option in the longest format. He had only 1 wicket in his last 3 games in the domestic T20 competition but was brilliant in the last FC season. Adnan Akmal had a couple of centuries last season for Southern Punjab and while he hasn’t played any professional cricket since then, we think he’ll be picked as wicket-keeper over Bismillah Khan.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The side is being captained by Ashfaq Ahmed who had a brilliant season in the 2019 QEA Trophy with 4 centuries and 3 fifties, and a total of 800+ runs in 10 FC games. Apart from him, they also had Sahibzada Farhan having a good season with nearly 600 runs in his 10 games including 4 fifties in the season. However, he hasn’t had any great scores since that last season.

Though he played only 6 games for the tournament last season, he was their top wicket taker with a total of 26 wickets in his kitty, so Sajid Khan should definitely be picked in your Nostragamus (Get Rs.200 FREE) fantasy team today. The best part about this side is their left-arm pacers in Usman Shinwari and Junaid Khan and I definitely want the former in my team, considering he picked 10 wickets in the recent National T20 tournament.
