NZ vs WI Dream11 Team – 2nd T20I 2020 | 29 Nov

The first game of this series turned out to be a very exciting one. New Zealand is the home team and they ended up going 1-0 up in the 3-game T20I series after a topsy turvy first game. Rain came and went and it ended as a 16-over contest and even though West Indies set a high target of 180, their bowlers weren’t able to defend the total and the home team ended a 5-match losing streak with that win.

After starting at Auckland, the next couple of games will be played at Mount Maunganui which is going to be another batting paradise. When they hosted Windies here a couple of years back, they smashed 243/5 and we won’t be too surprised if the 200-run barrier if crossed today as well. New Zealand

It’s been a long time out of action for Martin Guptill and we saw that in the last game where he scored 5 and in fact has 3 single digit scores in his last 3 games across formats. We’d rather pick his opening partner Tim Seifert who played for the winning team in the CPL 2020 and scored 17 in the last game. Devon Conway made his international debut and impressed with 41(29) so I wouldn’t mind picking him either in my NZ vs WI fantasy team.

There’s a chance of bringing Ish Sodhi (highest wicket taker at this ground in T20Is) into the playing eleven after Hamish Bennett had the most expensive day out, giving away 50 runs in just 2.3 overs before being taken off the attack. Everyone’s eyes will be on Lockie Ferguson after his 5/21 in the 1st T20I but let’s not forget about the captain Tim Southee who has been on a wicket-taking spree himself, ending with decent returns of 2/22 in the last game.

West Indies

In the middle order, we have Nicholas Pooran who was unfortunate to get out to a full toss for 1 in the last game but he’s coming off a successful IPL 2020 and is easily one of the most exciting batsmen in the Caribbean at this point of time. Opening the innings will be Andre Fletcher who returned to the Windies maroon jersey after 2 years and while he may not be able to carry on to get a big score, a 20-30 odd score seems certain. It’s also Andre’s birthday today!

Another exciting young player to watch out for is Fabian Allen who scored 30 with the bat and was a bit too expensive in his 2 overs with the ball. He was with the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2020 and we think he’s come back as a much smarter cricketer. Kesrick Williams is another smart T20 bowler who won’t be in many PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234) fantasy teams after 0/33 in the last game, but we’ll be picking him for sure.
