I believe in the strength of all-rounders in the T20 format and that’s why Rakheem Cornwall becomes one of my first picks for the day. He recently picked 3 wickets on Test debut and here, he’s been opening the innings for the Zouks with 161 runs in 5 games so far. Another handy all-rounder who can give it a tonk and can also bowl a few dibbly-dobblies is Colin de Grandhomme.
Christopher Barnwell has scores of 7 and 6 so far in his 2 games at CPL 2019 and he should be replaced by John Campbell who scored 43 before falling for a duck in his second game. Colin Ingram came straight into the side in the last game for Thisara Perera and I’ll pick him even though he got only 4 in that game. With the ball, Fawad Ahmed was the leading wicket-taker in CPL 2018 and that’s why I’ll have him in my team.
Trinbago Knight Riders
Sunil Narine has 73 runs and only 4 wickets in 4 games at CPL 2019 so far, so I’ll take the gamble and skip him for today even though he’s expected to come back to the team in place of Mark Deyal. Instead, I’ll pick Colin Munro who has scores of 96* and 28 in his two games this season.
In 5 games at CPL 2019, Seekkuge Prasanna has managed only 2 wickets and has got to bat just once so I’ll skip him from my Nostragamus (sign-up with “READSCOOPS” for Rs.100 FREE) fantasy picks as he’s not being used the right way. Mohammad Hasnain picked 6 wickets in 4 games but I’d rather have swing bowler Ali Khan who has 3 wickets in 3 games including 2/27 in the last game.
