Numbers

  • Last 5 games head to head, NSW Women lead 3-2.
  • Tahlia McGrath – 219 runs in 10 games at 2019 Kia Super League.
  • Lisa Griffith – gone wicketless in last 3 T20 games.
  • Rene Farrell – 18 wickets in last 10 professional games.

New South Wales Women

NSW Breakers are led by Lisa Griffith who last played professional cricket earlier this year for Sydney Thunder at the 2019 WBBL. She picked 9 wickets in 12 games and I’ll skip her from my fantasy team. Lauren Cheatle is a good option with the ball, picking 7 wickets in 3 ODD games for NSW Women in February this year. Another option could be Rene Farrell who got 5 wickets in those 3 games in February.

Quite a few players are NOT AVAILABLE for this game, so don’t pick any of Erin Burns, Alyssa Healy, Ashleigh Gardner, Rachael Haynes or Maddy Darke. One player who contributed well for Thunder Women earlier this year was Naomi Stalenberg with 244 runs in 15 games including a fifty. Rachel Trenaman is an x-factor player who can get you fantasy points with both bat and ball.

Southern Australia Women

All-rounder Amanda-Jade Wellington has 8 wickets in her last 4 games including 70 runs having been dismissed only twice. Another massive boost for them is having White Ferns player Suzie Bates in their team who is an automatic choice for being captain or vice-captain, given that she has 10+ international centuries. Remember NOT to pick Megan Schutt as she’s unavailable for this game.

Another person who will get a nod for most fantasy line ups is Bridget Patterson and I’ll have her in my Nostragamus (sign-up with “READSCOOPS” for Rs.100 FREE) fantasy picks too. Her last game was earlier this year when she scored 113 in a ODD game for SA Women itself. With the ball, Samantha Betts has gone wicketless in her last 5 professional games. However, she bagged 5/69 in an ODD game for SA Women in November last year; she could be a good pick.
