The Lanka Premier League (LPL T20) is back for another round and another edition which will clash with Australia’s Big Bash League, but it’s going to be an entertaining league for sure. 2020 was the first edition of the tournament and now, LPL 2021 is going to take place between 5-23 December 2021. In last year’s final, Jaffna Stallions emerged victorious but this year, they’ve renamed themselves to Jaffna Kings.

They’re playing in LPL 2021 Match 1 in a rematch of last season’s final where they’ll take on runner-up Galle Gladiators at RPS in Colombo. In fact, all 20 league stage games will be played at this venue while the four LPL 2021 playoffs will be played at the Hambantota Stadium. With 21 wickets in 12 games in the recent 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 League, Wanindu Hasaranga is going to be the star of this league since he’s been scoring runs these days as well.
