Right at the top of the order, there’s the potential of bringing in either of Harry Brook or Phil Salt in case they need a change, maybe in place of Jason Roy. On the bowling front, there’s Sam Curran sitting on the bench and we’d love to see him playing here as an all-rounder, in place of Craig Overton. In those last four games, Moeen Ali has managed a couple of thirties and three wickets with the ball as well, so he’s a definite pick in my ENG vs IND 2nd ODI fantasy team, and we could even make him fantasy captain or vice-captain today. The bowling attack is rather inexperienced but if there’s anyone who can dent the Indian top order with the new ball, it’s David Willey who can swing the ball both ways.

Virat Kohli had a groin issue and considering this game is just two days later, he’s unlikely to be available. But if he is, we’d expect him to slot back in the place of Shreyas Iyer. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten century stand in the 1st ODI and like we mentioned in the preview of that game too, these two have impeccable records in England and we only expect them to continue scoring runs in the next couple of games.

We saw some high levels of confidence in Jasprit Bumrah when he was made Test captain last month, and it’s brought out the best in him, ending with career best figures of 6/19 in the 1st ODI.
