AUT-W vs GR-W 2020 – 2nd T20I Fantasy Preview

The women’s circuit is back for some more cricket and to kick proceedings off, we have Germany Women making a trip to play some cricket against their neighbours Austria Women. The former are clear favourites in this 5-match T20I series but the former are more experienced, exposed and well, they rank way higher in the ICC Women’s T20I Rankings right now.

We have 5 T20Is to be played in 3 days on this short tour and to begin with, it was a victory for Germany Women who batted first and ended up putting up 165/2 which they defended with ease and took a 1-0 lead with a 82-run victory. Expect similar domination in matches to come as well. Keep reading for our complete MyFab11 (Use code “READAD46“) fantasy preview of the AUT-W vs GR-W 2nd T20I…

Austria Women

We told you that Austria Women captain Andrea Mae Zepeda is their best player and she proved it again, top scoring with 35(48) and also ending with 0/22 in 4 overs, being their most economical bowler, so she’s worth having as fantasy captain or vice-captain too. Apart from her, no one else really got into double figures in their batting lineup but if we have to pick one batting pick, it would be opener Harjivan Bhullar.

Being one of only two bowlers to have picked a wicket in that 1st T20I, Sylvia Kailath ended with 1/39 and should be in your AUT-W vs GR-W fantasy team for the 2nd T20I, especially because she bats in the middle order as well and there’s slight potential here. Apart from her, the other bowler to get a wicket was Rezarta Avdylaj who got 1/17 in her 2 overs and bagged a duck, batting in the lower middle order!

Germany Women

We expected Christina Gough to be the main player in the 1st T20I and we weren’t wrong, with the player scoring 72(62) as opener and then bowling 0/7 in 3 overs, so if you’re joining a one-on-one fantasy league, make sure you have her s fantasy captain. You can choose a 7-4 fantasy team in favour of Germany W where Janet Ronalds should also find a spot because she’s the other opener, scoring 27(29) in that first game!

There has been a lot of talk about Asmita Kohli in recent months and after her performance in the 1st T20I, she’s definitely one to have in your MyFab11 (Use code “READAD46“) fantasy team because she was the pick of the bowlers with 3/18 in her 4-over quota. If you want a another specialist bowling pick, go in for Emma Bargna who also had a good game earlier today, bagging 3/13 as opening bowler.
