The Provincial Challenge Cup (Grade I) 2020 has begun in Afghanistan which marks the return of professional cricket to the country and we have a total of 8 regional teams playing this competition, split into groups of 4 teams each. A couple of games are being scheduled each day and here, we’re going to talk about Match 3 of the tournament being played between Kandahar Province and Faryab Province.
You can check the first day’s game result to get an idea of how the pitch at this ground will play but be careful overall while selecting players as we’re unaware of possible team combinations. Give preference to those who have FC experience if not a little bit of international cricket experience. Kandahar Province
With a best bowling performance of 8/76 and a best match bowling of 14/119, Abdul Baqi has been one of the leading wicket-takers in FC cricket recently though he would like to improve his numbers in the List A circuit, but we’re adding him to our KHR vs FYB fantasy team. Waqarullah Ishaq has an FC best of 156* in 15 FC games and 3 fifties in 12 List A games so far, and since he has wickets too, he’s a good fantasy captain or vice-captain option.
With 6 wickets in 6 career List A games and a top score of 30 with the bat as well, Abdullah Tarakhail is another person who will get us plenty of fantasy points by contributing with both bat and ball in this Afghanistan ODD tournament. The side is being captained by Munir Kakar and just because we know he’s playing, he makes our fantasy team, since he’s also the wicket-keeper of the team.
Faryab Province
The 20-year old Juma Gul has played 13 FC games for Amo Region and so far, he’s managed 1 century and 4 fifties including a century and fifty in his last 2 games, while also having 7 wickets in his FC career so far. His teammate at Amo Abdul Hadi also has plenty of potential with a top score of 115 in 7 career FC games so far, and he’ll need to transfer some of that form and big scores to his List A career stats too.

With 4 centuries in 12 FC games so far along with 1 century in 6 List A games so far, Hayatullah is not someone you want to be leaving out of your MyFab11 (Use code “READAD46“) fantasy team today, since he bowls and picks up wickets too. While most of these guys have FC games under their belts, Fazal Haq has a List A game under his belt and that one game last year saw him get returns of 1/39 with the ball.
