Nowadays, you don’t need to wait long for a new T20 league to start because there are so many popular franchise events taking place right through the year. One of them is the CSA T20 Challenge which used to be called earlier as the Ram Slam T20 and even the Mzansi Super League but now because of sponsorship reasons, Cricket South Africa (CSA) is in the title itself.
While most of the franchise leagues are being played in bio-secure environments, the CSA T20 Challenge 2022 will be played in a managed event environment (MEE) which is more cost-effective and lighter on the players as well. All games in this season (31 T20s) will be played at the St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth and Imperial Lions is the team beginning as the defending champions this season.The tournament will follow a single round robin format followed by the traditional knockout games of semi finals followed by the CSA T20 2022 final on 27 Feb 2022.
