And of late, the most viral and trending dance video is ‘Srivalli‘ from the Allu Arjun starring movie, Pushpa: The Rise.

One of South India’s biggest stars, Allu is often considered one of the better actors in the country and certainly among one of the best dancers too. And here too, he’s had a couple of signature dance moves and because of that, the Srivalli HookStep Challenge has gone viral among social media influencers and celebrities, so today we’re going to talk about cricketers who did the challenge as well…

Cricketers who did ‘Srivalli’ Dance

Most of the widely followed cricketers on social media know that most of their followers come from India because it’s the largest cricketing population in the whole world. Hence, they tend to stay up to date with the trends in India. Of late, we’ve been seeing quite a few cricketers groove to the Srivalli Challenge, some doing so on social media while others also doing so in live cricket games as celebrations.

1) Dwayne Bravo

One of the leading T20 cricketers in the world, DJ Bravo did the Srivalli HookStep Challenge on his social media accounts but then also pulled out a version of it without music when he picked up a wicket in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League 2022 where he plays for Fortune Barishal. See here:

2) Suresh Raina

Now retired, the former Indian cricketer and one of the legends of IPL cricket Suresh Raina was quick to join the trend as well, performing the Srivalli dance at his home with his family. To be honest, Raina was better hitting big sixes than he is at making reels/dance videos. See here:

3) David Warner

He’s easily one of the most active cricketers on social media, and he loves his Indian music and dances. He’s done several videos on Pushpa already and the most famous one was the reel of the Srivalli HookStep where the Aussie opener copied the sunglasses and slipper and face move as well. See here:

4) Suryakumar Yadav

Recently busy in bubbles and quarantine with the national side playing the ODI series in South Africa, middle-order batsman decided to use his hotel space to recreate the Srivalli dance and he asked his India and Mumbai Indians teammate Ishan Kishan to join him as well. Take a look here:

5) Nazmul Islam

Like we mentioned above, the Srivalli fire was quick to spread to the Bangladesh Premier League as well, with one of the bowlers Nazmul Islam saying he loved the movie Pushpa and he puled out the dance step as a celebration to one of the wickets he took in BPL 2022 as well. See here:

6) Shakib al Hasan

If Dwayne Bravo and Nazmul could do it, then star Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan didn’t want to feel left out, so he also quickly got into the Srivalli act when he picked up a wicket in the 2022 BPL T20.
