Today however, we’re here to talk about one of the strangest and most eccentric bowling actions we’ve ever come across, once again from a country which you may not heard or seen much about in the cricketing sphere. We’re talking about Mmoloki Mooketsi from Botswana who is 24 years old (as of Oct 2021) and is a slow left-arm spinner who is a regular part of the national side now.
Having made his debut for Botswana in May 2019 against Uganda, Mooketsi didn’t grab the eyes of spectators for a hat-trick or a 5-fer on debut, but he caught the attention of one and all watching because of his unorthodox bowling style; one we think is all the way up there among the weirdest bowling actions we’ve ever see. It almost looks like he’s creeping and crawling towards you and it probably takes an entirety before he actually gets to you. However, it seems to be working for him and we don’t see any reason why he should change this bowling action as of now. With 6 wickets in 7 T20 internationals for Botswana so far, his career is only just beginning and the sky is the limit!
