Did Boria Majumdar Threaten Wriddhiman Saha?!

There’s been a whole lot of hype and buzz on social media ever since former Indian wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha tweeted regarding some disrespect shown by an Indian journalist. The reason we say ‘former’ in Saha’s description is because he wasn’t picked in the squad for India’s next Test series and at his age of 37 years, it may be the end of the road for him.

Knowing that, a few journalists and reporters have been contacting Saha to do exclusive interviews especially since he has the added time right now. And recently, Saha took to Twitter to show a chat screenshot with one of them, where he was insulted and you can even say threatened because Saha decided to not reply to the person in question.

Did Boria Majumdar Threaten Wriddhiman Saha?!

Wriddhiman Saha threatened by reporter

There are a lot of accusations being thrown around with Saha’s recent exclusion from the team. Reports suggest Saha accused Sourav Ganguly of lying to have him in the national side until his term as BCCI President, while there are reports that suggest Rahul Dravid also hinted that Saha should retire. The conversation screenshot with Saha shows how the reporter was asking Saha to do an interview with him.

The reporter was probably in search of an all-exposing interview which would be great for television ratings. But the conversation went south after Saha decided no to go ahead with it, and didn’t reply. He posted a picture of the conversation with caption, “After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..this is what I face from a so called “Respected” journalist! This is where the journalism has gone.”

Did Boria Majumdar threaten Wriddhiman Saha?!

‘This wasn’t something ypu should have done,” was the last text from this reporter to Wriddhi and we have every reason to believe that this top reporter in question could be sports journalist, statistician, academician and author Boria Majumdar. The reason for the assumption is because he’s always managed to find controversies, especially because of his way of talking.

Additionally, we follow Boria on Twitter and we see that the error ‘ypu‘ instead of you is a very common one for him. A lot of people on social media have pulled up older tweets of the cricket expert where he’s made the same typo and immediate assumptions could be made that he’s the one who has disrespected and insulted our former wicket-keeper.

In the meantime, Saha has been receiving a lot of support on social media from fans as well as former cricketers like Virender Sehwag. In the IPL 2022 Auction, Saha went to Gujarat Titans and we expect him to prove himself and get a few runs with the bat this upcoming season.
