In recent years, Indian state associations have been introducing new T20 franchise leagues one by one. One state to have produced several Indian cricketers over the years is Andhra Pradesh and they weren’t lagging behind when it came to starting their own T20 competition. With the introduction of the Andhra Premier League (APL T20), we’ve seen a massive boost to regional cricket in this part of the country.
Those who perform well here get recognised and it’s a stepping stone for them to playing professional T20 cricket for the state, and even being pulled up to the IPL and the national side. Some batsmen have honed their craft at APL since inception of the competition and on this page, we’re going to be going through all the Andhra Premier League centuries to have been scored till date…
Since it’s a very new tournament in terms of how long it’s been around, there haven’t been many 3-figure individual scores but that’s sure to change with time. The first time an APL T20 century was scored was in 2022 during the first edition of the competition. It was Prasanth Kumar who smashed 106(58)* for Rayalaseema Kings in a successful chase against Vizag Warriors in APL 2022.

He went on to get 73 in one of the games in APL Season 2 in 2023 as well. And as of now, he remains the only centurion in the competition’s history, with Kogatam Reddy coming close with his knock of 92 in APL 2023 as well. Kumar’s century came in a game when his team was chasing 141 for victory. It’s very unusual to see an individual century when the team total is so low, which was nearly 73% of the team’s score that day. His innings included 9 fours and 7 sixes and his strike rate was an astonishing 182+ in that swashbuckling knock.
Since it’s a short fixtures list every time the tournament comes about, we’ve only seen one APL T20 century till date, but those numbers are sure to grow over time.
