The American Premier League (APL) has been a project in the pipeline for over a decade and finally, it was launched in 2021, with teams named as per differently nationalities, like Americans, Afghans, Indians, and more. The league is back for its second edition in USA and here on this page, we’re going to talk about the APL 2023 dates and schedule.
A total of seven teams will participate in APL T20 2023, namely Premium Afghans, Premium Americans, Premium Aussies, Premium Canadians, Premium Indians, Premium Paks, and Premium Windees. The league has roped in more than 40 international players who will represent their respective country’s teams in the second edition of the American Premier League.
APL 2023 dates
The second edition of the American Premier League franchise tournament is sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and USA Cricket, and all of the games in APL Season 2 will be played at the Moosa Cricket Stadium in Houston, Texas, USA. The American Premier League 2023 dates were announced a while back and the season will take place between 19-31 December 2023.
Each team in APL Season 2 will have at least one or a maximum of two national players while there will be 9 local (American) players in each squad, in order to boost the game in the Americas. A maximum of 6 international players can be a part of any playing eleven team during the tournament, which will have a round robin and knockout format – semi finals and final.

American Premier League 2023 schedule
While the complete APL 2023 squads were not yet released at the time of writing this (15th Dec 2023), the APL Season 2 schedule is out and there are a total of 24 T20s on the fixtures list. There are single headers as well as double headers, where the opening game begins at 9am Central Standard Time (CST), while the next day onwards, games will take place at 8:30am and 12:00pm CST.
It’s Premium Americans vs Premium Windees in Match 1 of APL 2023, where Chris Gayle will take on Dan Lawrence, and we expect fireworks right from the first game of the season. From the Indians team, it’s been confirmed that former Indian pacer S Sreesanth will lead the side, while Stuart Binny will also be a part of the same side.
