The world mourned the loss of the monarch of Great Britain, as Queen Elizabeth II passed away yesterday at the age of 96 years old. Political leaders across the world put out tributes on social media and many of them announced a day of mourning in their respective countries as well. The Royal Family is surely going through a tough time but life has to continue.
And a part of that resumption of live and duties as the Royal Family is the Queen passing on the throne. By default, her son Charles was appointed as Monarch, as he was the eligible heir for more than seven decades now. King Charles III is his current title and he’s addressing the nation for the first time since his mother’s death.

Many sporting events in the country were either cancelled or postponed today like a couple of Premier League games and a day’s play of the England vs South Africa Test match, as a mark of respect toward’s the Queen’s death. Prince Charles may have been getting ready for this role for many years now and we’re sure he’s all set to take over the reins, as per the line of succession.
Now, he addresses the nation in this time of grief. He will commence his speech at 18:00 BST (22:30 IST) on Friday, 9th September 2022. The King greeted crowds outside Buckingham Palace in UK when he returned to London with his wife Camilla, the Queen Consort. The Queen passed away in Balmoral in Scotland yesterday, and the 73-year old has already undertaken his first constitutional duties as monarch.

It’s his first full day as monarch and this address comes shortly after holding an audience with newly elected Prime Minister Liz Truss at the Buckingham Palace. Crowds outside the Palace greeted Charles III with chants of “God save the King”. A procession of 71 horses galloped into position in Hyde Park before a tribute to the Queen on Friday.
