Tarzan Actor Among 7 Killed in Plane Crash

The first reports came in earlier this morning and we were told that Joe Lara was presumably dead along with 7 others in the plane crash but it was only more recently that the rumours were confirmed and the 58-year old was announced dead. The plane is said to have crashed into a lake near the city of Nashville in USA and his diet guru wife Gwen Shamblin Lara was also part of the passengers aboard.

The plane crash is said to have happened earlier in the week and on Saturday night, the efforts switched from search and rescue to recovery. Part of the statement given by RCFR commander Captain Joshua Sanders said that the team had found ‘several components of the aircraft as well as human remains’ in a debris field which was about half a mile wide.

Joe Lara last played the role of Tarzan in the 1989 television movie called Tarzan in Manhattan. He however continued the legacy later in the television series called Tarzan: The Epic Adventures, which was on air between 1996-1997. In 2018, he married his wife who was a member of a Christian weight-loss group, who also founded the Remnant Fellowship Church in 1999.

“The seven Remnant Fellowship leaders lost May 29, 2021 were some of the finest and most loving people that you would ever come across. During this horrible tragedy, our church would greatly appreciate prayers,” said the Church in a public media statement. We at Read Scoops pray that their souls rest in peace!
