We all love our beauty pageants and last night, another glamourous event took place at the Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai. We’re referring to the VLCC Femina Miss India 2022 event which was hosted in all pomp and splendour on Sunday evening, 3rd July 2022. And the most gorgeous women in the country were among the participants.
Eventually, there’s always going to be just one winner and last night, it was Karnataka’s Sini Shetty who was crowned Miss India 2022 and given the title of the most beautiful women in the country this year. The 21-year old contestant hails from Karnataka and it was Miss India 2021, Manasa Varanasi, who was present to crown her successor as Miss India World 2022.

To tell you a little bit more about our Miss India 2022 winner, she’s born in Mumbai and from Karnataka and is currently pursuing an educational course in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She began dancing at the young age of just four years, and then by the age of 14, she had completed her Arangetram and Bharatanatyam training. She hails from a family of arts and academia.
At yesterday’s Miss India World 2022, Rubal Shekhawat from Rajasthan ended as first runner-up while Shinata Chauhan from Uttar Pradesh was crowned second runner-up, from among very good competition of a total of 31 divas from different states across India. Now, Shetty will represent India at the 71st Miss World pageant.

At the grand finale in Mumbai last night, Neha Dhupia, Kriti Sanon, Mithali Raj, Rajkummar Rao, Dino Morea, Maniesh Paul, Malaika Arora, and other celebrities were in attendance. While the main occasion was that of 20 years since Dhupia won Miss India World, the event also saw outstanding performances by Kriti Sanon and Lauren Gottlieb.
