Earl Simmons ‘DMX’ Passes Away at Age 50

A number of legendary celebrities have left us and gone over the last year and more. And we’re here to bring you some more crappy news as one of America’s most iconic rappers has passed away as per reports and a statement from his family. We’re talking about the 50-year old Earl Simmons better known by his stage name ‘DMX‘.

His rise to fame was because of his hardcore hip-hop and raw, gruff raps in the early days of his rap career. He’s one of those rappers who was an idol to all those who joined the industry later over the years and decades. He rapped about a number of things primarily the struggles of the American street along with his own inner pain.

“Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end. He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him,” said statement given by his family to AFP. The rapper is said to have died Friday, 9th April 2021 at White Plains Hospital which is situated a little north of New York City. He died with his loved ones by his side around a week after being on life support.

DMX gained commercial and critical acclaim over the late 1990’s and early 2000’s and is known mostly for raps like ‘X Gon’ Give It To Ya’ and ‘Where The Hood At’ among many others. He is said to have suffered a heart attack a while back post which he was taken to the hospital and never managed to recover since then.

Born on 18 Dec 1970, the rapper had a troubled childhood and once he took to rap, he managed to channel all his pain for a better cause. It’s He dropped his debut album ‘Dark and Hell Is Hot’ in 1998 and over the years, he even starred in a few movies like ‘Cradle 2 The Grave’ and ‘Romeo Must Die’ among others.
