The annual MTV Video Music Awards took place again recently on Sunday in New York, America. The red carpet of such events is always something everyone looks forward to, including the celebrities themselves, the fans, the journalists present, and many others. However, the recent ceremony saw something you would’ve usually see at such high profile events – a fight!
While there’s usually a lot of banter taking place between these celebrities online, you wouldn’t expect them to actually break out into a physical fight in front of hundreds of people and millions others through cameras present at the event. Yesterday, former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor took his profession out on the red carpet as he got into an altercation with a famous rapper.

We’re talking about Machine Gun Kelly (real name Colson Baker) as the two got into a brawl on the red carpet, which led to security having the separate them as they almost got into blows with each other. Videos that surfaced show the MMA superstar make the first move towards the Cleveland, Ohio native rapper, MGK. The latter’s girlfriend Megan Fox was seen being pulled out of the havoc as well.
As per reports, it’s said that the Irish fighter McGregor had approached MGK for a photo, which was declined. Somehow, the situation escalated to MGK apparently pushing McGregor, with the latter falling backward and spilling his drink. It further went to another level when McGregor was seen throwing his drink towards Machine Gun, and that’s when people had to come to separate the two celebrities.
However, it’s said that once cool heads prevailed, the two were seen walking down the red carpet together. “Conor McGregor did not ask anyone for a picture, nor did he instigate this incident. He does not know Machine Gun Kelly, outside of the fact that he attended Conor’s fight this past July,” said McGregor’s spokesperson later, denying the reports.
