Will There Be Army of The Dead Part 2?

If you’re a Netflix India movie buff, you’d always be excited for Fridays because every Friday, we have new releases. This time on Friday, 21 May 2021 we had Army of the Dead release on Netflix and trust us, it’s definitely worth a watch. Especially if you’re one who loves action adventure and of course, the American favourite – ZOMBIES!

Will There Be Army of The Dead Part 2?

Directed by Zack Snyder, the zombie heist film has former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista playing the lead role and much like Batista, quite a few of the cast seemed ‘older’ than those you’d expect to see in a zombie invasion film. Based in Las Vegas, the movie is a single-day one where a team is formed to go out on the quest of a massive $200 million extraction.

Announced in 2007, the film spent several years in development hell and over a decade later, it’s ready for one and all. It’s not spiritual or inspiring or realistic but it’s worth a watch. That is of course, if you love the gore and violence and chopping off of zombie brains. If you are a Bollywood film buff, you would also love the fact that Indian actor and model Huma Qureshi had a major role to play in the film.

Will we see Army of The Dead Part 2?

Now for a film that took 15 year to release, I don’t think anyone will want to be through that ordeal again. However, the end does slightly suggest that we are in for a sequel. From a team of 10+ members, only two made it out alive and after both her parents were lost to zombies, we think Batista’s daughter Kate Ward (Ella Purnell) does have more to accomplish.

On the other hand, Omari Hardwick who plays a soldier called Vanderohe was the only one who walked away with a cash prize and while he sets off in a plane, he realises he’s been bitten too. Which leads to to the questions of whether or not Vanderohe will lead the zombie invasion in Army of the Dead 2?!

However, considering it was quite a boring watch with absolutely no humour involved, the filmmakers may rethink the decision of a sequel. For all updates on the entertainment industry, stay tuned to ReadScoops.com
