It was April 2022 that two of India’s biggest celebrities and Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot. A couple of months later in June this year, they took to social media to announce that the actress was pregnant and that the couple was ready to welcome their first child. Now, the moment has come and from the morning of this Sunday, 6th November 2022, the actors have been trending on social media as Alia Bhatt was admitted to hospital in anticipation of her delivery. She was in labour and was admitted to HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai and the birth of their first baby girl happened at 12:05pm today.

The two would be super happy today as this is usually the happiest day in most parents’ lives. Alia Bhatt was the first to ensure her fans and followers know of the news, posting to her Instagram account about the birth of her child. She has as many as 72+ million followers on the social media application and we’re sure it’s going to keep growing after today’s announcement of the birth of her daughter.
“And in the best news of our lives:- Our baby is here…and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love – blessed and obsessed Parents!!! love love love Alia and Ranbir,” said Alia in her post on Instagram.

“Congratulations mummy papa 🤗❤️this is the bestest gift of god you guys r blessed with 😇 lots of love to little princess 😍god bless your beautiful family 😇🙏,” said comedian Kapil Sharma on this post, one of the many celebrities who reacted to and commented on this news. Currently in the prime of her career, Alia’s contemporary Kriti Sanon also posted a comment, saying “Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
“Congratulations ❤️🐯🤗 Only love always 🥰,” was another comment from actress Dia Mirza on the same post. One of the leading and richest actors in the country, Akshay Kumar, also passed on his regards and congratulations, by saying, “Congratulations !!! @aliaabhatt , Ranbir. No bigger joy in the world than to have a daughter. Bless you all. 😇”

Kamaal R Khan is known for his controversial comments and he made sure to point out the fact that the duo became parents within ‘7 months’ of being married. “Many many congratulations!!!!! Dearest @aliaabhatt & Ranbir – the bestest journey of your life begins today – big love 💚💚💚,” said actor Riteish Deshmukh on the same Instagram post.

“Congratulations you two!!!! Happiness and health always. ♥️♥️♥️,” said Shweta Bachchan on the post. And of course, there were a million memes and jokes on the arrival of their baby girl, like the one you can see above. With all the talks about nepotism in the industry, no one left the chance to talk about how Karan Johar will be busy signing Alia’s daughter for her first move a couple of decades down the line.
