New-Gen Ertiga Expected to Launch in India by August 2018

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga which was released earlier in the year 2012 in India is all set to get a new upgrade. If all the current works (tests) are successful as expected, we might soon see this car launched in the mid-2018. Bookings for the upgraded car are expected to be open a month prior to the official launch.

Ertiga is one of the successful launches of the carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, in India. It has got its last update in the mid-2015. And is now set for another upgrade this year. The all new-gen Ertiga currently spotted in Delhi which is currently going through all the Tests.

The upgraded Ertiga is expected to have a more cabin space than the existing model. It is also expected to grow in dimensions which is expected to be a bit more longer and wider than the current running model in the market.

Some of the other upgrades on the next generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will include an all-new cabin with a touchscreen infotainment system, likely to be the same unit as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire possess. This system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The touchscreen system also supports Bluetooth connectivity.

The Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) will also get automatic climate control on the top spec trims while all its variants will get dual airbags as standard. Going by the latest trend in Maruti Suzuki cars, one can expect LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) for the all new Ertiga this year along with the LED tail lamps.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga currently offers a 1.4-litre petrol variant and a 1.3-litre diesel variant engines on the Ertiga. There could be a new variant coming in the diesel engine variant. The official launch in India is expected to be in between June and August this year with an ex-showroom price tag varying between INR 7 Lakhs to INR 10 Lakhs.
