Google has come up with its latest version of Android ‘Pie’ which was rolled out on August 06, 2018 on the Google Pixel. This latest update is at the moment available only on Google Pixel phones and this latest update will be rolled out to other branded mobile phones later during this year.
Pie doesn’t carry a lot of new features but it is coming with lot of enhancements to the already existing ones. Are you wondering what’s so special about the new version? Artificial Intelligence! Yes that’s correct! Your mobile phone is going to adapt and take decisions based on your usage! Here are some new features you are going to experience with this latest Android version:
Adaptive Battery
Android now analyses the user’s usage pattern and prioritizes power consumption by the mobile applications which are used frequently.
Adaptive brightness
This is a much needed feature which will be helpful especially during night time. Mobile brightness settings in different surroundings is analysed and the mobile phone automatically sets the brightness all through the day!
App actions
Android will predict the user’s actions and pop-up most appropriate suggestions accordingly. If you plug in earphones, Android will show a pop-up of playlist frequently heard by the user or a frequently made call.
Slices
This is a completely advanced feature to what we are using at the moment. This new Android version will show slices (app related information) of app information without actually opening the app. Example, if a user searches for Pizza Hut, the app will show the pricing of their products at the bottom without actually opening the app!
