Bitcoin Hits $15000 Mark But $63.92M Got Stolen

It has just been a week since we have written an article on Bitcoin Passes $10,000 For The First Time and since then there has been a $5000 rise in bitcoin price over a week. What has just started from few a dollars now worth more than $15000.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) largest U.S. options exchange and CME Group, Financial marketing company (Chicago) will introduce the new futures contracts for bitcoin on Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 respectively. Future Contract is a standardized forward contract, a legal agreement to buy or sell something at a predetermined price at a specified time in the future. This is what has led a surge in Bitcoin price!

It is predicted that the bitcoin will remain well bid until BTC’s initial listing on the CBOE. It also predicted that the price will cross $16000 mark in coming days, few of the Bitcoin enthusiasts believe that it might cross 100,000 (highly impossible but the way bitcoin has surged it looks possible).

If you have already invested in Bitcoin just hold on for another few days to get better returns.

On the other, “$64m in cryptocurrency was stolen in ‘sophisticated’ hack” as published by The Guardian. A Slovenian-based bitcoin mining marketplace called NiceHash was breached the last day. The mining exchange have suspended its current operation and the local Law Enforcement agency is working on this case.

According to Andrej P Škraba Head of Marketing in NiceHash around 4,700 bitcoin is being stolen in so called sophisticated social engineering hack. The users of the mining exchange have been asked to change their password to prevent unauthorized access.

Bitcoin being a digital asset and growing value it has been the most favorite target of the hackers. The largest attack that happened in the Bitcoin history was in February 2014 when Japan’s largest crypto-currency exchange Mt. Gox was taken down by the hackers and approx  850,000 bitcoins were stolen.
