Sri Lanka recently toured United Arab Emirates and Pakistan to play 2 test matches, 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is. While they whitewashed Pakistan in the test series, they were whitewashed back in the ODI series, and then also in the T20 series.
A majority of the Sri Lankan first-team players were rested for the T20 series as the PCB had scheduled the final game of the T20 series to be played in Lahore and players weren’t ready to play in Pakistan as yet. Shoaib Malik was awarded the Man of the Series of this T20 series for his good performances:
- 1st T20 – 42(31)*
- 2nd T20 – 9(20)
- 3rd T20 – 51(24)
His quickfire knock in the final game ensured Pakistan were able to put up a competitive total of 180/3, even though they were in a tough spot at one stage. The hosts completed a 36-run victory, and Shoaib was awarded the Man of the Match as well.

The prize for the Man of the Series was a motorbike, which was presented to Shoaib Malik. Indian tennis superstar and Shoaib’s wife Sania Mirza was also following the match ball by ball, after which she tweeted to Shoaib, asking him for a ride:

However, she was quick to send in another tweet before Shoaib replied, having seen visuals of her husband already having taken someone on his bike before her – his teammate Shadab Khan:
Ok never mind.. I guess the seat is taken already

Twitterati enjoyed this little chat between this Ind-Pak couple, while the sensational 19-year old leg-spinner Shadab Khan wanted to get into the conversation as well, saying sorry to his ‘bhabhi‘ (sister-in-law) Sania Mirza:
Ooops. Sorry bhabi ? https://t.co/6Oy7UAIbTm
