Australian tennis player Alex de Minaur took to social media after his Round 3 game at the 2024 Roland Garros, asking for people to find him his superfan. The young kid was seen cheering on de Minaur and when the match was over, the tennis star walked over to the kid and gave him a big embrace.
When he found him online, he made sure the kid was present at his important Round 4 game against Daniil Medvedev. This game against the number #5 seed was probably the biggest of his career and he was able to get in touch with the superfan, whose name was later revealed as ‘Paul’, and the kid was from France itself.

The kid was there as expected in today’s Round 4 game and after losing the first set to the Russian, de Minaur decided to turn the game on its head. He upped his game and was super dominant, taking full advantage of the recent good run he’s been having on clay. Eventually, he won the next three sets quite convincingly to eliminate Medvedev from the competition.
After the game, de Minaur once again went up to Paul and they shared an embrace. Then, the young fan came down to the court to have a chat in front of the cameras as well. Everyone has been wanting to know, who is the young Alex de Minaur fan at the 2024 French Open? Now, we all have the answers.

The two spoke in French at the courtside interview and the translation in English from Alex to Paul was, “I listened to you on every point.” And the youngster was obviously thrilled to bits to be there, giving an enthusiastic high-five in front of the cameras again. See the wholesome video here:

Whether Paul will be at Alex de Minaur’s next game or not, we’re yet to find out. But since he’s a French local and the tennis player is probably sponsoring him to be there now, we may just see him in that all-important quarter final clash. His opponent is yet to be decided but it’s sure to be the biggest game of his career so far.
