In the last year or so, there has been an influx of new retired cricketers leagues, giving plenty of opportunities for those who’ve recently hung up their boots. These legends’ leagues are slowly gaining popularity and one of the newer ones on the block is the Legend 90 League, called the Yaaron Legend 90 League for sponsorship reasons in the first edition.
This first season was scheduled between 6-18 Feb 2025, and it’s always fun to watch the legends return to the field. Some of the cricketers have been out of action for many years, while others are fresh off international and domestic retirements. On this page, we’re going to look at the batting records, specifically all those who have Legend 90 League centuries.
Which batsmen have centuries in the Legend 90 League?
While most franchise leagues are in the T20 format, the 90-ball tournament is of 15-overs a side and scoring individual centuries is tougher here, because of fewer deliveries to face. However, that didn’t stop some of them from getting there, with the first Legend 90 League century coming in the first edition itself, off the bat of New Zealand’s Martin Guptill.

One of the most sought-after T20 batters of his time, it’s no surprise that Guptill was the first to enter the record books in this tournament. He smashed an unbelievable 160(49)* which is usually an entire team total in the 90-ball format. A majority of his runs in that innings came from boundaries, including 16 fours and 12 sixes. It’s safe to say that this will be the highest individual score in the Legend 90 League for a long time to come. This outstanding effort for his team Chhattisgarh Warriors was complemented by his opening partner Rishi Dhawan, as the duo put up 240/0 in 15 overs.
With several talented domestic and international players in the league, we think that there’s plenty more centuries to come in this tournament in years to come. In this same first edition itself, West Indian Lendl Simmons also got a 90+ score while Peter Trego and Simmons again in another innings got past the 80-run mark.
