In what is being tagged as the most lucrative sporting deal since the start of the pandemic last year, Manchester United has gone on to announce a new strategic partnership and shirt sponsor. As per latest reports from the club, Germany-based TeamViewer has been signed on by the club in a €275m (£235m) shirt sponsorship deal.
This is indeed one of the biggest collaborations we’ve seen in sport over the last year or so and if we’ve heard right, this will be a 5-year deal between the football club and the global technology company, the latter coming on board as the club’s principal shirt sponsor. TeamViewer will replace Chevrolet at the front of the Manchester United jersey.
We’re hearing that the club is also in talks with other automobile brands to get in a new source of income, replacing AON as the sponsor on their training kits and Carrington base. Coming back to TeamViewer, the brand is one of Europe’s fastest-growing software companies and the jersey will be revealed soon, coming into effect from the 2021/22 season onwards.

“We are tremendously proud to be establishing this partnership with one of the most exciting and dynamic global software companies. The ability to connect and collaborate has never been more important to the world and our community of 1.1 billion fans and followers. We are looking forward to working with TeamViewer to bring to life our vision for a partnership built on smarter ways of connecting people and businesses,” said Richard Arnold, MD, Manchester United.
