One of the better batsman to have come from the state of Kerala over the years and decades, Sanju Samson has been having an issue making headwards into the national side, in any of the three formats. However, he continues to score runs in the domestic circuit, and in tournaments like the Indian Premier League (IPL), with his fanbase across the country only growing day by day.
He’s currently one of the most spoken-about Indian cricketers and an Indian Super League (ISL) franchise has decided to take advantage of that popularity. We’re talking about leading ISL franchise club Kerala Blasters, who has gone on to sign Sanju Samson as their brand ambassador, in a bid to drive some of this popularity towards India’s football league as well.
Sanju Samson on as Kerala Blasters brand ambassador
The deal is a good move for both Sanju Samson as well as the Kerala Blasters football club. The franchise was established in May 2014 during the first edition of the Hero ISL, currently third on the ISL 2022/23 points table. The club’s official Twitter handle announced their signing of Sanju Samson today, 6th Feb 2023, and the post received a number of instant comments and other engagements.
Samson has been known to be a Kerala Blasters supporter right from Day 1, with several tweets and messages in support of the ISL club over the years. In fact, the Blasters have often tweeted about Sanju Samson, mentioning him in several posts as well. It was a match made in heaven and we’re surprised this wasn’t done earlier by the two parties. KBFC and their fans all seem to be thrilled with the announcement which went live this afternoon.
