If you don’t know the man in question, pack yourself up and hide away. We’re talking about Cristiano Ronaldo who is no one but the most popular footballing figure in the history of the game. Arguably the best to have ever been, CR7 as he’s popularly known has an insane following across the world which includes 298+ million on his Instagram account.
Such a following just means that a single word or statement can lead to severe trends and fashion changes. And if you were unsure of that, let us tell you that a single word Ronaldo just spoke at a recent Euro 2020 press conference saw the share price of a major multi-national company going crashing and plummetting. We’re talking about the age old beverage brand, Coca Cola.

All Ronaldo did at the conference was move the two bottles of Coca Cola placed on his desk and replace it with water, shouting ‘Agua’ which literally means water in Portuguese. Ronaldo is known for his high levels of fitness and that’s how he’s managed to stay at the top of his game, breaking records even at the age of 36 years, when most footballers careers are done and dusted.
Any fitness freak would know the importance of water in their diet and the harms that aerated drinks could cause. Little did he know however, that Coca Cola would suffer losses to the tune of $4 billion because of this one word. Keeping things light, we know that Ronaldo is never going to be approached to be their brand ambassador in the near future, haha! See video:
