It’s the transfer deadline day and clubs around the world will have exciting announcements to make throughout the day. Two such transfers which are almost complete are those of English midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Spanish forward Diego Costa.
For Oxlade-Chamberlain, the deal is almost sealed. Earlier, Chelsea showed a lot of interest in the player but he rejected the offer from the Premier League champions as he wanted better opportunities in the central midfield, which he believes he can get at Liverpool.
Yesterday (Wednesday) evening, Chamberlain underwent a medical at Anfield and if all went well, we can expect the announcement to be made anytime now: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool. Was the midfielder also spotted in a Liverpool jersey?

The 24-year old will be 99.9% joining the Merseyside club and the announcement should be made by mid-day. Arsenal and Liverpool met earlier and the transfer fee agreed upon by the two clubs was around 36 million Euros.
Another important transfer to be completed today is that of Spain’s striker Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid. Chelsea and Atletico Madrid officials met yesterday and they agreed upon a deal of approximately 43 million Euros, and Costa’s return to Atletico may soon be completed.
Diego last played for Atletico, until the Blues signed him in 2014. However, Chelsea now need to procure the funds to sign three new players before the transfer window closes today. Costa managed an impressive 58 goals and 24 assists in his 120 games for Chelsea.
Rumours that Atletico Madrid will sign Diego Costa for €45m and send him on loan to Everton for the season.

Will he be able to continue the good form when he returns to Atletico? However, Atletico are serving a transfer ban until January 2018, which means Costa has an option of staying with the club and training till then, or being loaned out to another club till he can play for Atletico. Everton seem to be the favourite to get him.
