Mid-Night, Mid-Week And No Sleep December For Asian Fans!
It’s almost December and we have the crazy fixture schedule in the English Premier League. It’s the start of some mid-week Game Weeks and by the end of December, I think we will get a clear picture of who will be crowned champions by the end of May.
The Premier League is back and it’s not giving the clubs and the fans time to breathe, as Game Week 13 was just a couple of days back. Here’s a quick look at all the fixtures with IST TV listings:
We start the Game Week with Brighton & Hove Albion hosting Crystal Palace. Brighton suffered an unlucky defeat against Manchester United in their last match and will be looking to make amends with a win over Palace who look rejuvenated themselves.
With 4 points in 2 matches, Palace are looking strong and a good match is on the cards. An entertaining draw to kick off the round of matches.
Leicester City against Tottenham Hotspur always produces some exciting contests and this one should be more or less the same. Both teams have almost similar head to head records with one win separating the two. Harry Kane has scored 10 goals against Leicester, his most against any team.
Jamie Vardy, with his pace and energy to run down the pitch for the whole match, is something that everyone enjoys watching. Expecting a great match with Spurs to win.
West Bromwich Albion versus Newcastle United – both teams are on a terrible run of form. West Brom have 1 point from their last 5 PL matches while Newcastle are on a 4 match losing streak. Newcastle have a good team and this is the perfect opportunity for them to win and get back on track. I’m expecting a tough fight from ‘The Hawthorns’ but a win for Newcastle United.
Arsenal are playing well at the moment and with 4 wins in their last 5 matches, they’ve got back in top 4 of the table. They host Huddersfield Town who narrowly lost against Manchester City in their previous game. Arsenal should win this one quite comfortably, but the promoted side has produced some terrific performances against top sides this season. Can David Wagner’s side earn a draw at The Emirates?
Manchester City host Southampton at The Etihad. Another win for City will be their 11th in a row in PL. Southampton will have to toil hard for getting a result out here and with City’s current form it looks unlikely. City to continue their march towards the title with another comfortable win.
Bournemouth against Burnley – two sides who are playing extremely well. It’s the battle of two talented British managers Eddie Howe and Sean Dyche. Let’s see who comes out on top, but I’m expecting Burnley to secure a narrow win.
Everton versus West Ham United – two teams and two managers who are in desperate need of points. David Moyes is still waiting for his first win as the Hammers’ boss. Both teams have been terribly poor in recent weeks and need some magic and inspiration to climb up the table. With 1/3rd of the season over, these sides need to be fixed quickly.
Stoke City versus Liverpool concludes our mid-week fixtures. With a draw against Chelsea in their last match, Liverpool have some catching up to do in the league table. They’ve won 7 of their last 8 matches against Stoke City. With Mane and Firminho expected to start in this match, Liverpool should win this comfortably.
That’s it for the week folks. If you like what you’ve read, check out more stuff:
