The Delhi Premier League T20 tournament may not yet have a very long history, but they’ve started off really well in terms of individual performances. We’ve seen plenty batter get to DPL T20 hundreds while a few bowlers have even registered 5-fers to their names. Here on this page, we’ll explore those bowlers who have claimed Delhi Premier League hat-tricks.
It didn’t take too long for a DPL hat-trick to be witnessed, the first one coming a few games into the DPL 2024 inaugural season itself. It was Purani Delhi 6’s pacer Prince Yadav who claimed the first ever DPL T20 hat-trick, against Central Delhi Kings, in Match 9 of the first edition of the competition.
The hat-trick saw Prince Yadav finishing with figures of 3/47 in his four overs but his team unfortunately finished up on the losing side. Overall, there have been three (3) Delhi Premier League hat-tricks, until the middle of the DPL 2025 season taking place in Delhi. Yadav’s hat-trick was the solitary one in the inaugural DPl 2024 edition.

Usually, success is guaranteed when your bowlers do well but here, even the second hat-trick of the tournament going to Rahul Chaudhary went in vain, against South Delhi Superstarz. He picked up 3/48 with all his wickets coming in the final over of the game. However, the lower order batters were still able to get South Delhi over the line.
Third came Arjun Rapria’s DPL hat-trick a few days later and he faced the same fate. Having bowled only two overs, he managed to pick up 3/30 for North Delhi Strikers against Central Delhi Kings. This was not good enough to secure victory and we’re yet to see a DPL hat-trick in a winning cause.
