The Delhi Premier League T20 is a new franchise league competition launched by the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), with the first edition taking place in 2024. After the success of the inaugural tournament, DPL 2025 is back for the second edition with both the men’s and women’s competition to run during the same period – August 2025.

DPL 2025 dates – men’s and women’s
The dates for the DPL 2025 season were announced on 22nd July 2025, a couple of weeks after the DPL 2025 auctions took place (separate for men’s and women’s). As per the announcement, the men’s DPL 2025 tournament will begin first, scheduled between 2-31 August 2025. The opening ceremony will be on 2nd August, followed by the first game of the men’s competition.
It’s a nearly month-long event for the men’s DPL 2025 season, with the eight participating teams divided into two groups – Group A and Group B. There’s an added reserve day kept aside on 1st September just in case the final cannot happen on the schedule date. The women’s DPL 2025 season will be much shorter, played between 17-24 August 2025.

DPL 2025 schedule
During the men’s DPL 2025 schedule, each team will play a total of 10 games across the round robin stage. This includes a double round robin against teams from their own group, and one game each against teams from the opposite group. Then, the DPL 2025 Playoffs will follow, including the IPL-like format of Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the DPL 2025 final.
The DPL schedule is a little different for the women’s tournament, with a total of 6 games on the fixtures list, including each of the four teams playing each other once each. Then, the top two teams will directly feature in the women’s final; we expect the women’s tournament to continue to grow and expand in years to come.
