Jofra Chioke Archer has been creating a huge name for himself around the world, especially in the recently concluded 7th season of the Big Bash League and he is set to play in the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) which starts from February 22nd 2018, in Dubai.
Quetta Gladiators, who made it to the finals in both the previous editions, has picked up this young all-rounder to replace Carlos Brathwaite who opted out to play for West Indies in the World Cup Qualifiers in March. “Archer will play in some matches of the PSL because of his other commitments,” a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials said.
Jofra Archer played a crucial part in helping Hobart Hurricanes reach the finals of the recently concluded Big Bash League, where they lost to Adelaide Strikers. He picked up 16 wickets in the BBL, at an average of 23.06 in the 12 games he played in Australia.
This 22-year old all-rounder is also handy on the field. He has taken some brilliant catches which helped Hobart to get on top of the oppositions in some of the crucial moments of the game. Archer has also bagged a big deal in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction which was held over the last weekend in January. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for a whopping price of INR 7.20 Crores!
The third season of the Pakistan Super League will start in Dubai from February 22. Pakistan have also announced that the two eliminators will be played in Lahore before moving to Karachi for the 2018 PSL 3 final!
