Complete Women’s Super Smash Winners List

Men’s T20 professional leagues have been taking place for a couple of decades now, but the women’s competitions took a few years to be set up. However in New Zealand, the women’s domestic T20 league began just a couple of years after the men’s tournament was initiated. We’re referring to the New Zealand T20 league which is today know as the Women’s Super Smash.

It began as the State League Twenty20 back in the 2007/08 season, organised by New Zealand Cricket and contested by 6 regional teams since the first season. Today, the league is known as the Dream11 Super Smash for sponsorship reasons and on this page on Read Scoops, we’re going to go through a complete Women’s Super Smash winners list, from start till date.

Complete Women's Super Smash Winners List

The competition is played alongside the men’s Super Smash competition, in a double round robin and finals format. The group winner goes straight to the final while the second and third placed teams contest a preliminary final. So far, five of the six participating teams have been crowned Women’s Super Smash winners, with only Northern Brave waiting to lift the silverware till date.

While the Magicians have reached the most number of Women’s Super Smash finals, they aren’t the most successful team in the competition’s history. The only team to have more titles than them is Wellington Blaze who have as many as seven (7) titles in the tournament. This includes having made the final on a record seven consecutive occasions, between 2017-18 and 2023-24.

All of Auckland Hinds, Central Hinds, and Otago Sparks have won the tournament once each, while Northern Brave is yet to open their account.
