England – one of the better ODI teams in the world. West Indies – talented but inconsistent. Undependable. Overall? The former is a huge favourite but we’ve been treated to some fantastic cricketing action in the Caribbean over the last three weeks. West Indies won the Test series and the ODI series is now level at 1-1, after the home team won a thriller in the 2nd ODI.
The 2nd ODI was a good one for us, where we picked Ben Stokes as captain and even had the likes of Eoin Morgan and Shimron Hetmyer in our fantasy side. The next couple of ODIs will be played at Grenada and we at Read Scoops have penned down a complete Dream11/fantasy league preview for the 3rd ODI.

England
It’s basically their batsmen versus the Windies bowlers in this 3rd ODI and in the series itself. We have seen them falling prey to the Windies pacers, so the top order may have to be slightly wary. Two players I definitely want in my fantasy side are Joe Root and Ben Stokes. No doubt a popular player, Root has 3 centuries followed by 36 coming into this game.
Stokes too, has picked 4 wickets and scored 99 runs in this series so far, so get him in your team for sure. Making him captain isn’t the worst option either. For those looking for unpopular selections and higher value, go in for Jonny Bairstow who only has 34 runs in 2 games, so he won’t be in many fantasy teams. With the ball, Mark Wood and Liam Plunkett continue to be my main picks.
West Indies
West Indies has baffled everyone with their ability to produce victories of late, something we haven’t seen in them in recent years. Chris Gayle has looked extremely determined to score runs, following up his century in the 1st ODI with a fifty in the 2nd ODI. He also surprisingly is the 2nd highest wicket-taker at this ground with 12 wickets, so I’m retaining him in my fantasy team for the 3rd ODI, just in case Jason Holder decides to throw the ball to Gayle.
I suggested how Sheldon Cottrell could be a good pick with his skiddy action, pace and bounce. However, I lost out by not choosing him, and he ended up with returns of 5/46 in the last game. I’m going to keep Oshane Thomas in my side, only because of the fact that everyone will have their eyes on Cottrell now. With the bat, there’s high value on offer in John Campbell.
