Rohit Sharma smashed his sixth 150+ score in ODIs
Indian opener Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 152* off just 117 deliveries with 15 fours and 8 sixes in the first ODI against West Indies in Guwahati – his 20th century in ODIs. This is his 13th ODI century since the 2015 World Cup 2015 and only Virat Kohli (14) has scored more than Rohit during this period.
The unbeaten 152* is also the sixth 150+ score for Rohit Sharma in ODIs, the most for any player in this format of the game. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Australian opener David Warner with five such scores each are second in this list.
Also, Rohit Sharma’s 152* is the second best score for any Indian player against West Indies in ODIs. Virender Sehwag’s 219 in Indore in the year 2011 is the best score for an Indian against West Indies in this format of the game.
Rohit Sharma has scored at least a century in each of his last nine ODI series/tournaments, a record that started in the ICC Champions Trophy in England last year. Keep reading ReadScoops.com for more updates on the Indian national cricket team.
