WATCH: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma Play Holi in Team Bus

Wishing everyone a very Happy Holi 2023! Not just from us here at the Read Scoops team but there are also some very special wishes from Team India, who are currently playing Australia in a 4-match Test series at home. India leads 2-1 and they go into the fourth and final Test in Ahmedabad, with a lot at stake including a spot in the World Test Championship 2023 final.

But today is a day off thanks to an early finish in the 3rd Test and Team India was seen grooving to some music in their team bus on the occasion of Holi. Today 7th March is a national holiday and former captain Virat Kohli and others were enjoying the holiday after what seemed to be a practice session, or maybe while they were travelling to Ahmedabad for the final Test.

In the team bus, opening batsman Shubman Gill was seen taking a selfie video with quite a few behind him, including former skipper Kohli and his current skipper Rohit Sharma. All of them were covered in Holi colours, and they were enjoying themselves. The short video shows the team in their training kits, while Kohli has his t-shirt taken off as well.

A member of the support staff was also part of the video, while Shreyas Iyer decided to show himself just before the video ended. All of them seemed to be very happy as they should be on this ‘Holi’day, while captain and opening batsman Rohit Sharma was busy throwing colours around the bus when the video was being taken.

India had a very poor outing in the 3rd Test and they’ll be looking to bounce back with a victory at Ahmedabad. They’ve got happy memories at that venue and these few days off should also help them rethink strategies before they play the final game. Australia has already booked a spot in the WTC 2023 final and India will need to do the same as well. See their Holi celebrations video here:

Another video which seems to be the stadium or the team hotel, Ishan Kishan took a selfie video of him along with teammates Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Siraj where all of them are also covered in colour as they shout out ‘Happy Holi’. It’s a great festival in India and this is how it should be played and enjoyed, as it was done this year but our favourite Indian cricketers.
