One’s busy playing a packed international and domestic calendar through the year, while the other is shooting and producing films and ads by the day. We’re talking about one of the most popular and powerful couple in India – Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. Their levels of popularity in India and around the world means it’s difficult to enjoy some of the simplest joys that most others can.
Take a bike ride for instance. Any of us can pop out of our homes, carry along our bike keys, and go for a spin. Regardless of what time of the day or night it is, we can do so without any apprehensions. Where as for couples like Virushka, it’s difficult to make any public appearances without crowds thronging for photos, videos, and a small interactions with their favourite celebrities.
Virat-Anushka enjoy scooter ride in Mumbai
But this weekend, the duo decided to throw caution to the wind and head out on an adventurous scooter ride in Mumbai. For a famous couple like them, we’re not sure how many years ago the two would’ve been able to last do this. And while they tried to sport helmets with blacked out visors so people couldn’t identify them, it was a fail for sure.
A number of passersby and bikers who were lucky to be travelling along the same route identified the two and started filming their journey for a few seconds each. Kohli was riding a grey scooter wile Anushka was seated behind, also holding an umbrella as the Mumbai rains have been super unpredictable over the years.

Virat was wearing a green shirt while Anushka was all in black but surprisingly, both decided to wear sparkling white shoes which is never a good idea during the rainy season in India. They travelled quite a few roads and even had to go over a few potholes every now and then. NDTV was one of the media houses to post a video of their little scooter ride over the weekend. See here:

It’s believed that the two had a shoot at Madh Island earlier in the day and this ride was post that shoot. We’ve been seeing Virat enjoying many such small moments in recent times, as he’s been trying to clear his mind as he’s been going through the longest poor phase of his career, with nearly 3 years since an international century came by.
As for Anushka, she hasn’t been as active in films but is currently working on the biopic of Jhulan Goswami (Chakda Xpress) which will be out early next year on Netflix.
