The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) launched a new domestic tournament called the Afghanistan National T20 Cup early in 2024, and the first edition took place to help select players for the upcoming T20 World Cup in USA and West Indies. Five regional teams that take place in other domestic tournaments were the participants for the competition, called Qosh Tepa National T20 Cup in 2024.
The tournament was slightly changed up for the second edition, called the Wakhan National T20 Cup in 2025. The number of teams and the names of these teams were also changed up, but the competition still stays the same. On this page, we’re covering all the instances where a batter went on to register a century score in the competition, from start till date.
Afghanistan National T20 all centuries list
It took only seven matches in the first edition to get the first individual century in this competition. This was scored by national side T20 player Hazratullah Zazai and the left-handed opening batsman finished with 116(66)* in that innings. Since most of the games were low-scoring ones, we think this will continue to be the highest score in the league for a while to come.

His national side teammate Ibrahim Zadran was the next man to the milestone in this tournament, also ending with an unbeaten innings of 101*, before another teammate Karim Janat got there in the same edition. At the time of updating this page, we were still in the second edition of the tournament but there weren’t any centuries in that second edition in 2025. A couple of players came close including Mohammad Shahzad and Haroon Khan, who scored 94 and 92 runs respectively, but most games were low scoring in the 2025 Wakhan National T20 Cup.
Zazai’s innings included 19 overall boundaries while Zadran’s knock included 16 boundaries, so there’s a clear emphasis on finding the ropes from the Afghani batsmen. We’re yet to see any uncapped players scoring a century in this tournament but that’s sure to change very soon. See ACB’s post when Zadran got to his century:
