We’re going through trying times all across the world, even a year after coronavirus first came out in a big way. Amidst all of this, the entertainment continued with the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) going on in full swing in India. A lot of questions arose about the morality of the league and whether it should continue in between times where people are dying in India daily.
However, the counter view is that millions of people are struggling at home in lockdown and IPL 2021 provides them the required entertainment they need on a daily basis. Hence, a lot of cricketers have gone ahead with participating in the tournament and some of them have even gone ahead and made bigger contributions, like the big Australian pacer Pat Cummins.

Cummins recently took to his Twitter handle to post a heartfelt message that has gone a long way to send a message to his fans. Given the recent situation in India where there has been a spike in number of Covid-19 cases, deaths and a shortage in vaccines and oxygen, every contribution is welcome. Cummins posted about a $50,000 donation to the PM Cares Fund.
He mentions ho his donation may not be a big amount in the grand scheme of things, but hopes to have impacted someone in the right away and saved a life or two. In the ongoing IPL 2021, Pat Cummins has been having a tough time with Kolkata Knight Riders, currently having won only 1 of their 5 games this season.
