It’s not everyday that players can achieve bowling milestones in cricket but when they are achieved, it’s a matter of great pride. In the Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20 tournament, some bowlers have turned out to be more successful than others, picking up wickets every season, and going down in the history books of the tournament as well.
Here on this page on Read Scoops, we’re particularly going to dive into a special record where bowlers have managed to pick 100 wickets in the competition’s history. The tournament has been around for under 10 years but that’s enough time to identify some of its best bowlers, so keep reading to know which bowlers have made the PSL 100-wickets club from start till date.
The first bowler to breach the 100-wicket mark in PSL history was none other than Wahab Riaz who managed to get there ahead of everyone else. Having played for Peshawar Zalmi right through his PSL career and even captaining them for some period, he ended his PSL career with 113 wickets in 88 games, playing the tournament from the inaugural season in 2016 until PSL 2023.

It took a while before the next player to reach PSL 100 wickets was announced and that turned out to be another pacer in Pakistan’s Hasan Ali, who has represented Islamabad, Peshawar, and now Karachi in PSL over the years. Riaz got to the PSL 100 wickets list in PSL 2022 and then, Hasan Ali got there during the PSL 2024 season. Most of the top wicket-takers in PSL are all Pakistan cricketers and we can assume that the next person to get to this elite club could be the current white-ball national side captain in Shaheen Shah Afridi, who had 93 wickets at the time of last updating this page.
Getting to 100 PSL wickets is no easy task, so everyone on this list is an iconic bowler in the history of this competition. Over the years, if the tournament decides to grow to include a longer schedule and more franchise teams, we may end up seeing bowlers reach the PSL 100 wickets faster than the rate the club is growing right now.
