New Zealand’s premier T20 regional competition has over the years been known by many names including the New Zealand State Twenty20, the HRV Cup, the Georgie Pie Super Smash, and much more. Today, the tournament is referred to as the Dream11 Super Smash T20, with a men’s and women’s competition running simultaneously every year during the Dec-Jan window.
Small grounds in New Zealand often means big team totals and massive hitting by the batters as well. Here on this page, we’ve listed down every men’s Super Smash century to have been scored in the competition, right from inception with the New Zealand Twenty20 Competition 2005-06 season to the most recent Dream11 Super Smash 2023-24 edition.
In the history of the competition so far, there have been a total of 29 Super Smash centuries, last updated 9th January 2024), in the middle of the 2023-24 season in New Zealand. Since the tournament hasn’t always attracted major international names, most of the entries on the Super Smash centuries list are local players, with a few exceptions made over the years.

In the initial years, Super Smash T20 was quite the rage and there were a lot of overseas players in the mix. After Brendan Taylor, Pakistan’s Azhar Mahmood and Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardene got centuries in this tournament but in the years that followed, we barely saw a lot of overseas talent in the Super Smash, as the league clashed with the likes of the Bangladesh Premier League, Big Bash League, and others.

Former Blackcaps captain and wicket-keeper Brendon McCullum was the first person to get to multiple Super Smash T20 centuries, scoring both of them for Otago. However, he was followed by the likes of Glenn Phillips and Devon Conway who also have two Super Smash centuries each, but they’re likely to increase their tally over the years still to come.
