When you think of T20 cricket, you often think of big hitting and batting records but the bowlers are equally to be credited in such games. The same applies for the Legends League Cricket (LLC) which is a newer tournament but it’s the most popular one for retired cricketers across the globe, after it completed its debut season in Jan 2022 in Oman.
Since then, LLC T20 has moved across the world to take place in India in LLC Season 2 and also in Qatar for LLC Masters 2023. In the past, we’ve spoken about all the LLC centuries ever scored across all editions but here on this page, we’re concentrating on the bowling records, in particular all the occasions that a 5-wicket haul was taken in the history of the LLC T20 competition.
In the first edition of the tournament, there wasn’t any 5-wicket haul. In fact, it was such a good one for the batsmen that there wasn’t even a single 4-fer in that season. That stat changed in LLC Season 2 and here on this page, we’re listing down every 5-wicket haul taken in LLC T20 history (updated 27th September 2024), with the last entry being at the start of the LLC Masters 2024 season.

The first player to have picked an LLC T20 5-wicket haul turned out to be India’s Pankaj Singh who represented India Maharajas, and he did this against World Giants in September 2022. The same season saw a couple of other bowlers narrowly missing out on joining this LLC 5-fers list, with all of Rahul Sharma, Fidel Edwards, and Dilhara Fernando getting 4-fers as well.

Singh represented a couple of teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and played most of his career for Rajasthan, while also having played 2 Tests and one ODI for India. He wasn’t picked to play in LLC Masters 2023, so it’s unlikely he’ll have another entry in this LLC 5-wicket hauls list anytime soon.
However, there are quite a few great bowlers in this tournament, with the likes of Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanvir, Brett Lee, and many others in the league. Left-arm orthodox bowler Manan Sharma was the next in line to get an LLC 5-fer during the LLC 2024 season, picking 6/17 in his 4 overs. The former Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder not just became the second player to join the LLC 5-fers list but also became the first player to get a 6-fer in this tournament’s history.
