Kwibuka Women’s T20 2021 – Squads, Schedule and More

We have a new tournament coming up that will be good for women’s cricket in Africa. We’re talking about the Kwibuka Women’s T20 2021 which is taking place between 5 African women’s teams and all games will be credited with international status. The tournament will take place over 7 days between 6-12 June 2021 and all games will take place at the same ground in Rwanda.

Apart from the hosts Rwanda Women, Botswana Women, Namibia Women, Nigeria Women and Kenya Women are the 5 participating teams. Unfortunately, Uganda Women couldn’t be a part of the tournament because of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the tournament will go on with these 5 teams under a strict bio-secure bubble. All the players have been tested as well.

We have two games scheduled every day and all matches will be played at the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium in Rwanda which has a capacity of 10,000 spectators, but it definitely won’t be used because of the pandemic. All matches of the Kwibuka Women’s T20 2021 will be live streamed on the YouTube channel of Women’s CricZone.
