After a dismal performance in the 2021 T20 World Cup, there’s more bad news for ace Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya as he has been named among many in a list of rape and molestation charges by the wife of a so-called aide of Dawood Ibrahim. If the accusations are true and is investigated, it could very much spell the end of Hardik’s cricketing career.
The woman in question is Rehnuma Bhati who is the wife of Dawood aide, Riyaz Bhati. Her accusations begin with her husband itself who is said to have forced her into having sex with business associates and other ‘high-profile’ entities. She has sent an application to Mumbai Police naming a number of sportspersons, politicians and other celebrities.
“I have been trying to get police to register an FIR, but they aren’t complying. My application was submitted in September, it is already November now. I have followed up with various levels of police authorities multiple times. I was told to give some money, but why should I spread corruption? I am right in my place. They are the ones who are criminals,” she said, having filed the application on 24th Sep 2021.

An official from Santacruz Police Station where the application was filed has acknowledged the receipt of the same, but refused to give out any more details. As per reports, it is said that another cricketer who features in the list is former pacer Munaf Patel while former BCCI Chief Rajiv Shukla also makes the list along with businessman Prithviraj Kothari. She named Trident Hotel as the location for the first incident with Kothari.
