The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced a Western Region tournament which will have 8 teams playing for a period of 5 days in Oman. They’re being divided into 2 groups and the top 2 from each will qualify for the semi finals. After the first couple of games kicked off a couple of hours back, we have Match 3 now – Oman vs Bahrain.
Now Oman has played much more cricket and have plenty more exposure, to go also with having the home advantage, so they begin as massive favourites, also being ranked much higher on the ICC T20 Rankings. Bahrain haven’t played a T20I game since Jan 2019, so there might be a few changes but one player you can’t skip from your MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team is Imran Ali Butt who will be leading the side and he has a good record of 2 fifties in 4 T20Is. 32-year old Fiaz Ahmed also has a fifty (62*) in his 4 T20Is for the country and the middle-order batsman can be picked as well.
With the ball, the attack is completely new but we’re expecting one person to make the playing eleven – Junaid Niazi. He has been around since a while and his last recorded game was against Singapore in 2014 where he bagged 3/33 and such a player should make your fantasy side. I. Javed and A. Malik will also be important bowlers for this OMN vs BAH contest in Oman.
